Crafty Husband

My Husband wanted a new tree topper this year. He looked everywhere for what he wanted, but found nothing. He decided to make his own. He bought a plastic ball ornament and some icicles at Michael's. Next, he used his Dremel tool to cut off the hanging tips of the icicles. Then he used the glue gun to attach the icicles to the ornament. Last, he curled a coat hanger to make the part that attaches to the tree. It looks great! For under $4, a retro looking tree topper!
In case you were wondering where I have been, we went to Texas for Thanksgiving, then stayed an extra 5 days due to a funeral. When I got back, I was having bad back pain, went to the ER, and had back surgery the next day. I had a bulging disc, and torn cartilage that was pushing on my sciatic nerve. (Yes, the back pain worsened when I painted the gray chair for week 2 of the contest!) It has been a week, and I am still recovering. I hope to post more, as I am able to sit more! Good thing my husband can carry on with some projects!

What a crafty husband! Don't we all wish we had one like that?! haha. And I LOVE that last photo of daddy picking up his daughter to put on the last, final touch to the tree. Just adorable!

Last but not least, I wish you a SPEEDY RECOVERY! Until you are feeling tip top again, be sure to get yourself one of those donuts to sit on, to relieve some pain.

What a wonderful Husband to help you! This is a Great Tree Topper! I think I'm going to have to make one for my tree. I love that it's 3D and isn't a flat star like most of the start tree toppers I've seen. I think this could also be used in other none Christmas ways too.

have a speedy recovery!
