I made shirts for Addie, Maddie and the new baby Makinley (I hope I spelled that right!) . I added tulle to Maddie's because it was a little big, but now this girl wants one desperately. Addie showing off the shirt I made for Maddie. She wanted to do a photo shoot. If this computer wasn't so slow, I would upload more pictures...
Yarn ball wreath...these things are all the rage in the crafting world. I thought I would make mine with non-traditional colors. I think it turned out pretty good! The whole thing cost around $10. Everything but the yarn was from the target dollar spot, and the yarn from Michael's. I used a few of Mandy's midsized ornaments to cover. You can see Mandy's wreath
This is the baby blanket I made for baby Makinley. I wish you could feel how soft the zebra material is...super soft minky. I had a hard time the the "m", something about it being sewn on backwards...anyway, it turned out cute! Now if only another pregnant relative would enjoy zebra print...
Addie found a fruit pizza recipe in one of her princess magazines and has been wanting to make it. I had to adapt the recipe for her.
Crust: Yellow cake mix (must be Betty Crock er for Addie no milk) 2 eggs 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1/4 c. water 1/2 stick melted butter
mix, put in 12-14 inch pizza pan, (I used my 8 inch cake pans, it was kind of puffy)bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
Frosting: 1 can Pillsbury cream cheese (once again, contains no milk) I think this is the third time in my life that I have not made frosting. Addie can only have cream cheese and powdered sugar frosting, and it makes a lot! so this time I cheated...)
Fruit- Whatever you want. The baby oranges got denied from Addie, as did the bananas. She wanted to get the recipe because it was wrong (lacking grapes) but I told her to try it. She loved it!
HOORAY FOR ANOTHER NON-CHOCOLATE, MILK FREE DESSERT THAT WE ALL LIKE!
This year we went all out for Halloween. Kallie agreed to be Texas Tech volleyball player, if she could take her light saber to the church party(she couldn't show up unarmed!). Michael painted her name, number and the double T on her shirt. He did a great job! I am amazed! He printed off a double T and just looked at it! For the name he used a small stencil on the black part, but free handed the white outline. He made the numbers and traced them.
Addie finally decided to be Taylor Swift from the "Our Song" video. She was going back and forth between "Tim McGraw", "Love Story" and "Pictures to Burn". I made her skirt and top. It took 2 hours to do the top, only to be too small! But I adjusted it, and it looks great on! She has been wearing the skirt the last 2 weeks, and the top for a week. Michael painted her guitar black and put the sparkle on it. It looks great in the light. I'm sure we will have better pictures this week! It's only a preview...
Here's the real question...which costume cost more, Texas Tech volleyball player, or Taylor Swift???
With the extra material I had leftover from my dress, I decided to make Kallie this dress. What is the deal with patterns and sizes??? Kallie measured way to big for the size 6, but I went ahead and made it for her, adding 4 inches in length. It is way too big! I pinned it in the back and it looks good!
